The State of Law Alliance and Iraqi National Alliance (INA) are approaching an advanced stage to exclusively set the rules of how to select Iraq’s upcoming prime minister (PM) from within the two alliances, Ali al-Adeeb, a high-ranking member of the Dawlat al-Qanoon and Dawa Party, said on Wednesday.
“Discussions are about mechanisms that will be employed and measures that will be taken to select a prime minister from within the two alliances,” al-Adeeb told Aswat al-Iraq news agency. He explained that the discussions also aim at organizing the two alliances’ relations with other blocs.
